- The Polymate Corporation began producing adapters in the Fall of 1990. The idea was conceived when we realized that there was a void in the market for an affordable and practical means of making a repair or transition without expensive equipment.
We submitted and received a U.S. Patent in 1991 for our Polymate Adapter.
Production began with 2" stainless steel parts with threaded ends. Today we produce approximately 50 different adapters in three different types of steel. There are currently thousands of adpaters in service across the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii.
We also manufacture a number of different specialty items including Swages, Hammer Unions, Nipples, Fiberglass Adapters and Aluminum Bronze products.
