- Over 30 years ago, Jack Copsey started the business that is now JBC, Inc. The early years included operating a service station in Gering, Nebraska. In 1977 a Conoco distributorship was added serving local farmers and Conoco brand dealers with fuel and lubricants. In 1985 Jack bought his first semi-truck and tanker to haul fuel. Through the late 1980s the company operated a division offering sale, installation and repair of service station pumps and tanks. The company was involved in the ownership and operation of several convenience stores over the years. In 1987 the company reorganized as JBC, Inc. Jack’s son, Brian joined the company in 1989
Today JBC is the largest petroleum wholesale distributor and fuel transportation company in the Nebraska panhandle. The company employs over 35 people and operates over 25 truck/trailer units in Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, South Dakota and Kansas. The company earned the Nebraska Trucking Assoication's 2007 Safe Driving Grand Championship. In both 2008 and 2009 the company was one of the Inc. Magazine's 5000 fastest growing private companies in America.
